The plasma used during the procedure is not blood plasma, it's actually an ionised atmospheric gas.  The plasma pen ionises the surrounding gases & sends a bolt of plasma energy into the skin causing it to tighten & produce collagen & elastin over the weeks that follow. The plasma that comes out of the needle looks like what is inside one of those plasma globes from the 1980's. The needle never touches the skin!

The Plaxel+ Pen can deliver thermal plasma & cold plasma depending on which tip is used.

The needle tip:

When the plasma is discharged onto the skin it creates a white dot with a carbon dot in the centre. This pulls the surrounding skin inward which causes the tightening effect & stimulates collagen production. The white dots turn brown within 24 hours & start to fall away between 5-8 days and 10+ days on body areas. It's important to follow the correct after care instructions & not pick at the dots as this can cause scarring.

The ball tip:

No numbing is required for the use of the ball tip & it can be incorporated into a facial to help erase fines lines & massage serums into the skin for better absorption. It has an exfoliating & anti-microbial affect & is excellent for destroying bacteria in acne. It is also used for age spot removal on areas such as the face & back of hands.

The cold plasma flat tip:

The cold plasma tip is very gentle & helps the pores to open which allows for deeper absorption of serums. It stimulates collagen production which will give a lifting & tightening effect with repeated treatments. No numbing is required for the cold plasma. Results will last around 3 months so if you're looking for a more permanent solution it's recommended having the Plasma Lift (using the needle tip). A series of 4 cold plasma facial treatments weekly is ideal to get collagen production underway prior to your Plasma Lift procedure.
